Some impressive options for Event Plans of the Month this April, but who made the final 3? A great mix from around the world – let’s take a look!
Victoria Park Brisbane - Easter Egg Hunt
City Parklands Services have used OnePlan for both their 2023 and 2024 Easter Egg Hunt at Victoria Park, Brisbane. It’s amazing to see the development of their event plan from last year to this year, as they discover and learn all of the helpful planning features OnePlan has to offer.
This plan also shows how simplicity can go a long way, both plans have less than 100 items but are clear and professional, leading to seamless planning up until the event day. We can’t wait to see how OnePlan continues to help City Parkland Services develop their site plan, year on year!
Buffalo Marathon Weekend
The Buffalo Marathon Weekend in NY state consists of many events and perfectly demonstrates how OnePlan can help plan an entire weekend of events in one central platform.
Race Director, Rich Clark told us “OnePlan took a weekend of events with documents galore and combined it into one digital map that all members of the team can collaborate on.”
Friday is an exciting street party for the entire community but a highlight for the VIPs! Including a 0.0K party featuring one of their local bands and finishes the night off with a huge fireworks display by Skylighters of New York.
Saturday starts the morning off with the Buffalo Marathon 5k run to be followed by our Buffalo Marathon 5k walk. There is then a mini-marathon free for kids ages 8 and under, three different distances depending on their age. After the mini-marathon has completed there’s 26.2 foot Diaper Dash for children 2 and under!
This year they have added a plogging event for both runners and walkers where athletes will pick up garbage on the surrounding streets of the race site. Sunday is then the big events, the full and half marathon and the relay. What a fun packed weekend!
The best part of the Buffalo Marathon Weekend is the giving back to the community, they strive to have a positive impact on the local and surrounding communities in Western New York by giving back. In the first 23 years over $1,800,000 has been given to more than 50 local not for profit organisations.
Fareham West Scouts - Camp24
Camp24 is a key part of Fareham West Scouts’ programme, celebrating its 40th anniversary and organised internally by the organisation’s events team.
This event is the organisation’s largest and most ambitious to date, engaging participants aged 4-25 in a weekend filled with fun, adventure, and challenging activities from the largest inflatables to science experiments.
From Fareham West Scouts’ planning team, Tom Ridge told us: “OnePlan played a crucial role in designing a safe and accessible event, adaptable to various ground conditions and weather scenarios. The system was user-friendly and featured excellent sharing options, allowing the entire team to monitor the event setup in real time.”
Tom continues, “The platform enabled us to identify and avoid using areas of the site that might have been waterlogged, ensuring the safety and comfort of everyone on site. We look forward to collaborating with OnePlan on future events.”
