OnePlan was at the heart of this year’s VivaTech in Paris, France with our game-changing event planning and digital twin software being showcased at the UK Pavilion. A space dedicated to leading British companies for exports, the UK Pavilion hosted a presentation by OnePlan CEO Paul Foster followed by a networking event with the UK government’s Department of International Trade and representatives from the British Embassy in Paris.
With over 150,000 people at VivaTech and the pick of generation-defining tech leaders including Elon Musk giving presentations, it’s France’s premier technology event, once again proving incredibly popular.
New technology helping event organisers reap rewards
During the week, OnePlan founder Paul Foster shared new insights from the data that underpins OnePlan’s platform, and fresh examples of VenueTwin, our digital twin software, in action. That included for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games – you can find the latest examples of our digital twins for Paris 2024 here.
Interviewed in the VivaTech News studio, Paul Foster, said: “Our software is really focused on the planning phase. Mitigating some of the security challenges, the logistics challenges, people movement, and transport movement.”
He shared how events of all sizes have traditionally relied on non-specialist tools like PowerPoint and Excel, but with 50,000+ events now planned in OnePlan the transformation in the event industry is in full swing, with event organisers reaping the benefits.
“For temporary overlay, where the human resources are, barriers, dot planning – OnePlan is now the single source of truth for event site planning.”

A proud partner at the UK Pavilion
OnePlan’s team at VivaTech shared the latest product developments and use cases with the French audience. It included a presentation at the UK Pavilion that took a journey through the planning process that the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games organizing committee have done thanks to OnePlan.
This includes the planning of 49 venues across France, by 46 different departments – or Functional Areas – within Paris 2024, and delivering an 80% time saving compared to the old way of planning mega events.
Paul Foster’s presentation at the UK Pavilion also shared examples of how VenueTwin is used by a broad range of customers including NBA team the LA Clippers and ExCeL London. Our presence at VivaTech comes soon after our recent announcement of the strategic investment in OnePlan made by global design and architectural firm Populous.
